Yes. My lens had perfect minimal focusing distance (0.95 m) and magnification ratio 1:2. It was brilliant for butterfly shooting.
Both announced Sigma and Tamron 70-200 Macro are needed TC 1.4x for the same range and MR, have larger weight and size and, of course, price. However, I am waiting for them.
