Hi Karen,
The light on the water was just from the sky as the solar illumation was scattered around the sky even though the sun was falling. My travel tripod was not up to this work though and I took the expsure many times till I got it sharp, my biggest problem was the next day when I destroyed the Canon 400D body through water damage leaving me without a camera for the remaining 9 days..
