As for the AF, I'm not entirely sure which mode was it. As far as I'm concerned it could have been either ;-)
The reason is simple, I find AF really annoying and I usually keep it turned off. I switch to it only when I really have to and I can't really recall ever setting a particular mode. I know it's not very professional, but that's how it is. I like to have control, and AF just isn't for me ;-)
When I was shooting this I got about one decent shot for every five unsharp ones, so I'm guessing it might have been the single mode.
