Thanks Bob - I did find this very interesting...
It's a boring photo but an interest to those who want to know more about nature.
Rotorua is such a WOW place to visit with all these hot steamy holes appearing in the ground, and hot bubbly pools of mud and steaming hot lakes...
These sulphur mounds would never have been found if they didn't drain the lake. I'm surprised that they were permitted to drain the lake in the first place - but it was 50 years ago - I don't think they would be able to now.
