Thank you, Anne! Hi!
This shot is done handheld. With the Digimax I shoot mostly landscapes and nature handheld, to study (photographic-) composition. The Digimax has an optical viewfinder. I use that for finding views and composing. The camera doesn't have to be turned on for that. I carry it around in a pouch on my belt.
I (also) use monopod and tripod, on the other cameras, for more and sharper detail. Especially when working with zoom-lenses.
So I shoot handheld, with monopod and tripod. The latter tends to be slow, or wears out batteries faster due to composing (grid-lines). Setting up a tripod does mean more sharpness and detail, more DOF (slower shutter times), but tends to change the composition that I originally had in mind a little bit.
Plus, no Digital or USM sharpening on this one.
I hope this may be helpful.
Best regards, Dimitri. |
