i use lensmate adapter with my s5is so i can fit different filters. altho with sx10is i think it only use a ring that attch to the end of the retractable lens so you could fit ratynox. to get better magnification and DOF at smaller focal point try using raynox dcr150 + dcr250 (altho there will be vignetting).
