You did a fine job with the hedgehog; I sure it was grateful.
Hedgehogs out during daytime are almost always sick or injured.
The shot I took was late at night.
I once found a young hedgehog in the garden in the afternoon.
I took it to the Hedgehog Hospital (yes, there is one) in Burnley, about 8 miles away. It was young and had an injured leg. When it recovered it was reintroduced to the wild.
