I was there last year with my family and it was a wet day as well.
We could barely see the other side of the lake.
So we did not spend to many times there.
The next day we came back around, it was a cloudy day but we only make it to Lake Louise (which is where people usually stop and miss this lake)
The a couple days later after dropping back my family at the airport in Calgary, I had to drive back to Kelowna in BC, the day was so beautiful that I decided to stop by again... didn't regret it.
