But I guess that it why it was the only one left. It is simply too hostile for trees in that area. Gales and avalanches sweep through the area.
It is also why I have editted it out to produce the other photo.
I'm planning another trip at Christmas - 3 years after this photo. Maybe the trunk will have either surprised us (unlikely I know) or rotted into something more photogenic... Here's hoping. |
