Thanks for stoping by. It's quite hard to keep up with the taxonomic changes. Every Taxonomic Congress means hundreds of name changes, new families, renaming, reversing to an old name, etc., etc. I knew about Pluteaceae family but the last info I had, they were reversed back to the Amanitaceae. Well I'm not up to date in this matter so I'm going on your hand; they probably "reactivated" the Pluteaceae. Anyway they are quite close to Amanitaceae so who knows, three months from now they'll change it again.
About A. fulva, you're right too, but you know, every scientific book or identification guide has its version on edibility of certain species. The truth is that this is not a very common species in Romania and didn't entered in the cullinary atention of my people, therfore it's not regarded as a poisonous nor edible specie. In fact a Romanian name for this specie does not exist. |
