I like the D50 a lot. It's got at least all the features my old A1 had. I've used the timer, manual, automatic, AP, and SP modes. It behaves well. I can't compare it to the D70. Though I did look at an ad the other day that was advertising the D70. I read a lot of reviews before buying it, though. Some folks suggested upgrading from the kit lens, but the ones I saw were severl hundred more. Actually the lens doesn't feel quite as "solid" as my old Canon lenses. But I hope they hold up. I also looked at a lot of Trek photos using the D50, and I liked them a lot. Hmmm, that's all I can think of. But if you have any specific questions, just ask.
