Niek, thanks - It was quite novel to be staying in a cottage for a holiday. It took us a while to work out the last time we stayed in a holiday cottage... over 5 years ago - everything since then has been a tent either my old Vango Force Ten or the little Vango backpacking tent. Nicely rested and work was exceptionally difficult this morning. One advantage of the holiday cottage, was that I actually got to process the few photos I took on the same day, hence being able to post this one today. (OK - I admit it, I took my (work) laptop with me, but only becuase I only have a 2Gb compact flash card and at Christmas I filled that in one day...)
As you can see, the weather wasn't fantastic, but by all accounts it was amongst the best in the UK.... and one day was spent sitting in 8-10cm of snow in a blizzard. Needless to say, there was no photo. The camera got to stay in the rucksack, warm and dry.
