I'm afraid it is now dead. I went by a 2 years ago, to check up on it and it had just lost its crown in the spring gales. I had thought, 1 in every season kind of thing, but it is now long dead. All that remains is the trunk. But when I went passed at Christmas, a new tree was actually growing in the trunk, so maybe if I give it 20 years....
