Thanks again. It's all the merit of the camera, which I consider a technological jewel if such tricky shots come out well - it makes life a lot easier[maybe less rewarding] in photo-capture. I take my insect shots with max possible aperture in order to blur out the background with a shorter fov. Do you think I should consider a higher shutter speed and bigger f#? I was also thinking of starting using flash for macros.
