Thanks again for your help. Another TN member informed me the beetle should be an Anthraxia Lucens Kuster 1852. However I have not been able to find any other reference for this specimen. Very similar beetles I have found in several sites but there are always slight differences. It seems that some of our insects on Malta are strange because this is not the first ID problem I have caused [And I have only just started posting a few weeks]
