No filters used - it is all just in the angle. As long as you ensure that the camera points at an angle to the glass so that whatever reflection there might be bounce off the glass and away from the camera. The glass and the density of the water do eat up a lot of light so one need to experiment extensively to get the exposure compensation sorted out. Then another factor is the colouration of the fish itself. Silver fish reflects more light than darker fish so one setting does not work for all.

So, the bottom line is, I can assure you that it was a rather busy time in the aquarium.
