Hi Tanja,
The fruit fly I posted here cqaused quite a commotion because no one could identify it exactly. I myself had spent hours researching and the closest I ever got was a Rhagoletis Cerasi although even this had a slightly different pattern on its wings [You can read the correspondence with Merlin]. What I've been told is that this fly is one of the worst pests in agriculture and causes a lot of damage to fruit.
