Hello Howard,

Since it's my camera, not me, is controling these setting I can't really say why it decided that exceptionally fast shutter-speed will be good in that situation ;-)
I can only guess that this is because there was lots of light and my camera had to choose either smaller f-stop or bigger shutter speed. And since it just loves to set 2.8 or 4.8 hence the shutter speed is so high.
Btw, the moths weren't moving, just sit in one place.
