Hi Gabi,

I would agree with you to some extent on the contrast. Having looked at it again, I think the blacks could be deeper. Personally I'm not a fan of very high contrast images as I think the whites tend to look garish. I've looked at your workshop and I think the blacks are an improvement, though I also think too much highlight detail has been clipped. Interesting comment on using LAB colour mode rather than RGB for levels editing. I haven't tried that before. Most of the photos I have on here are from my Nikon D70S which I've had no problem getting a decent contrast balance on. This photo is from a well exposed Velvia slide, scanned on a Coolscan 4000 and I have a lot more trouble getting my scans to come close to the quality of the slide.
