You are right. Here, where I live, there is always a sort of fog that makes that the lights have an excess of blue and cyan in the whites, and magenta in the blacks. Also landscape photography is a pain, as long distance subjects just dissapear.
In most of my fungui shots, when I postprocess I do a selctive saturation to lower this effects lowering blues & magentas which are not usually in the forests. But this time, was impossible, you can see why :DD
