As for your question, the answer is no, the "bubble" on the top of the caterpillar is just a raindrop. The osmeterium is retracted and can't be seen in this photo. It only appears whenever the caterpillar feels threatened. Its location in this photo would be on the leftmost "corner" of the larva, right above its "face".
