| Thanks for a good critique, its not often that people really give a proper critique. To be honest this shot is one that I had taken a while back and rather than plan the shot it happened by accident. It was only when I converted it to B&W that it became attractive to me. I tried desperately to adjust the contrast and brightness to cheer the picture up a bit but unfortunately either my skills with PS are not good enough or the detail in the picture just was not there. However having seen the result here I am actually going to try and shoot a better/similar shot. I will be making all efforts to have a sharp focus on the front reeds and maybe look at ways of improving the natural contrast so when converting to B&W it has more shades to attract the eye. |
