Thanks Peter: one the one hand, it may be a blessing (no road accidents), on the other I think an environmental disaster. Here, a warming trend is forecast for the weekend. It may not affect the mountain areas as much, but I am not really looking forward to our roads turning into fast flowing rivers (with all that snow we received lately).
This was not a vacation, but a weekend outing. The place is only 130 km from where we live - but totally deserted in winter: no ski developments or anything like that, just a road partially plowed out for access to cross-country skiers to the lake where this fall originates from.
