I think I was camping in the lake district that winter when it went down to -20C where we were... it was the last time i woke up to both the inside of the tent and the top of the sleeping bag being covered in ice whilst I was in my sleeping bag...
This time I was camping down at Inveroran (on the shores of Loch Tulla at Bridge of Orchy) and area I know very well from my childhood. I didn't get any snow this time, if I had been able to stay to 1 day longer I woudl have had some, but couldn't this time around.
I decided that I was probably never going to have a full sensor camera - I want to upgrade to the EOS 40D when it comes out, and having anything like the 5D is never going to happen, too many other expensive hobbies like winter mountaineering and driving... to be able to afford a full sensor camera, so this will do me fine for many years to come I think.
