Hi Gert,
As you probably already know you can't please everyone all the time. I put birds up with softer, more natural feathering and get told they need sharpening more for TrekNature so I sharpen one a bit more and am now told its too sharp!!! Not all Chaffinches are brightly coloured especially out of the breeding season.
