HI Paul,
Thanks for the critiques you keep posting for me. I read every one and take in what people say about my pictures. The bottom right part is where the branch is going out of focus due to the short DOF. Difficult to know what to do about it as it is a regular Wren/Robin/Coal Tit perch and I take quite a number of my pictures there. The Wren is only
1.5 metres (minimum focal distance is 1.4 metres with this lens) from the camera and I have to pre-focus and wait. Sometimes for hours and sometimes they do not show at all. If I move the camera/ lens they are gone in a flash. The first Long Tailed Tit that I have seen for months appeared this week, nearly all the Pine trees were blown down in gales earlier on and a lot of species moved away. I keep hoping for the Goldcrests to come back but they are Pine tree lovers so I don't hold much hope.
