I didn't knew that they feed on the Yellow-Eyed Penguin, that is indeed a paradox. Thanks for the information.
These was seen on Waipapa Point and I think it's common sight along the coast of Catlins. Cannibal Bay/Surrat Bay is also good spotting points. But it's usually the male as there is few females on the mainland.
I don't think there is anything wrong with your screen. Unfortunally I had a hard time to adjust the light level. The bright New Zealand sun is to blame and maybe my inexperience with the camera :)
It most have been an adventure to have traveled to Antarctica. You're very lucky. I'm hoping to get there in a two years time.
