Thanks for taking the time to stop by and critique my shot. I agree that some fill flash at -1/3 to -2/3 stop would have helped. I was in such a hurry to get out start getting some shots at the sanctuary that I left my flash in the car. While standing there in the shade taking this I was kicking myself for not bringing it along. I metered in tight off the feathers and just did the best I could.
