I get a lot of enjoyment watching moorhens and coots. Feisty little things, it seems like they are always on the lookout for a brawl. One time I watched three moorhens mixing it up, a real bruhaha.. suddenly two coots appeared on the scene, watched for half a minute or so and then decided they'd join the fray. Unfortunately I was too far away for any decent shots with the camera I had at the time. The moorhens gave up first, lol.
As the saying goes "ain't nature wonderful?"
I see you have a quote by Chief Seattle on your profile page... have you ever read a book called Touch The Earth? Quotations from Native Americans, very eloquent, very moving.
