Hi Sebnem, Below the nettle is a common Coprosma,Coprosma robusta, called Karamu, and above is Rangiora.Rangiora is the Maori word for a tribal chief. The plant,Brachyglottis repanda,is known as Maori toilet paper, because of its large and useful leaves.
To my knowledge, nettles don't harm other plants.I would say they are more likely to offer them some protection against grazing pests, like possums. |
