| Mike, I examined this last photo that I posted and you commented about, asking why there was a difference between the left and right hand sides. I also examined the other image of the same fox that I have posted on Jan. 29 (see there: http://www.treknature.com/gallery/North_America/Canada/photo7305.htm). To me, the faintly pink spots in the right hand side are just natural bare skin parts showin up through the fur. If you look at the Jan. 23 image, you will see quite a good number of them. So that would be my explanation: a natural effect, plus that on that day, the light was from my right hand side. Otherwise, I cannot see how I could have done something "wrong" with the USM, which I use very cautiously. Thanks anyway for your interest. Kind regards. |
