the weather in February in the south of the UK is - COLD! Yes, it does get a bit dreary sometimes, but, it is also one of the best times of the year for photography in my opinion. Fantastic low golden light, very clear, crisp air. It's nothing a some decent clothingand a wooly hat can;'t manage. Besides, you're from Canada so i expect it's nothing like as bad as it gets over there!
Personally, i actually love the winter, as i suffer in the heat a bit sometimes so look forward to the cooler temperatures.
Would be great id you did visit, i could show you Hengistbury Head (where is taken from, on the other side of the Harbour from Christchurch). Im sure you would love it.
