To be honest I am not sure - however, when directly over it the water was very pure but stained black with Tanin - I think that may have given the water a deeper shade of reflected blue.

PS I have LOADS of shots of this billabong - the angle of the shots with the horizon in them leaves the billabong looking oval and the rings are not quite so impressive. |
