I can see that the noise removal does wonders for the background, but I'm still a bit apprehensive about these noise removal programs, as I think you pay a price on other counts for the smoothness won on the background.
In this case details are lost on the bird, especially on the top of the head and on the cheek. This one is probably not quite as hard on the photo as NI, but I think it's a balance, and, personally, I'll put the details on the bird over smoothness on the bg.
