I sincerely thank you for your observations and comments. Actually I do not know much regarding the abalones, but according to my limited observations, they are generally more oblong-shaped when they are young, but get a rounder shape as they mature. It may have something to do with the gradually enlarging medial foot as they become older. The pattern and coloration of the mantle coating? Well, I simply love it!
