According to common opinion or at first sight, moths are not very attractive. However, the contrary is the case.
To make moths more public, I would like to start here with a THEME on the moth family
--- NOTODONTIDAE ---
The family Notodontidae is distributed world-wide. It includes about 200 species in the palaeaerctic region. |

There are so many different species of ladybugs, ladybirds or scientifically Coccinellidae that I would like to create a particular Theme-Page which should present the diversity of these beetles. |

I would like to create a THEME for not so beautifully coloured species of the subfamily Satyrinae. There are more than 2000 species world wide - many or even most of them only poorly known and recognized by specialists. Searching TN for Satyrines has shown that most species presented are of European origin. Species from Africa and tropical America - although very numerous - are nearly completely missing. |
