The second collection of my shots of Australian birds

In late April 2008 I visited Steve (LordPotty) on the south island of New Zealand. I went there to catch up with my tans-Tasman friend and to visit the dense rainforests of the west coast. These forests harbour some amazingly beautiful fungi and was very keen to see the blue entoloma. I achieved my goal and returned to Australia with many fond memories of my journey, the great fungi, glaciers, vistas and unbelievable hospitality provided by Steve and his partner Kay and her lovely children.

During December 2007 I spent three weeks birding around Belize and Costa Rica with my best mate. We had a great time observing over 385 species of bird as well as a good range of mammals, insects, reptiles and of course those amazing Mayan pyramids.

1. my 10 day holiday on and adjacent to Phuket Island, Thailand in April 2006. We then spent 4 days in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
2. my 10 day holiday to southern Thailand in September 2006.
3. my 4 day holiday to Singapore in September 2006.

In late October 2005 I travelled through NE NSW. This theme collects those shots together.

In October 2005 I travelled around the eastern deserts of central Australia travelling through places such Sturt NP, Strezlecki Track, Birdsville Track, Strezlecki desert, Sturts Stony Desert and Innaminka. An amazing trip that spoiled by huge numbers of bush flies that had bred after recent rains. this required us to wear fly nets from sunrise to sunset and put up with a constant buzzing all day. Anyway I've collected the shots I will post from that trip here for you to view.
