Dedicated to all skinks (of the order Squamata & the suborder Scleroglossa). As long as the name says "SKINK". Skinks are the most diverse group of lizards. They make the family Scincidae which is the largest of the lizard families with ±1,200 species. Skinks look roughly like true lizards, but most species have no pronounced neck & relatively small legs. Their way of moving resembles that of snakes & they usually have tails that can be shed & regenerated. |
