Geography is the study of the earth and its features, inhabitants, & phenomena. It seeks to understand the world & all of its human & natural complexities. Four historical research traditions include:
1. The spatial analysis (a study of distribution),
2. Area studies (places & regions),
3. Study of man-land relationship,
4. Research in earth sciences.
