This is a series of photos taken during a photographic day at the British Wildlife Center in Lingfield, Surrey.
During these days, the centre is closed to the public and you are permitted to enter the enclosures of a number of the animals. Various birds of prey are also brought out so that you can photo them without the wires visible.... (full story) (3 photos)

This was another one of my Scotland Treks. Fill the car with anything and everything that could be needed and set out for a long drive and a great adventure.
The weather was mostly very good. Both my husband and I managed to get sunburnt (oops) and only actually needed our waterproofs twice. Mostly, if it rained, it rained at night and was dry again by morning.... (full story) (10 photos)

This was one of those trips that had to get over all sorts of obstacles even just to happen, not least of all my husband not being able to come and family not being very happy about me being out on my own. But I stuck my head in the ground and ignored all the protests and went anyway. And what a wonderful holiday I had.... (full story) (14 photos)

Every year we go camping over Christmas and the New Year, somewhere in the UK. Last year was Wasdale in the Lake District and we only just escaped before the storm and the floods, and having walked and mountain biked most of the mountains in that area, this year we strayed much further North. We have had plenty of holidays in the Highlands before, but this was the first time my husband had camped in Scotland in the winter, (I spent most of my childhood up there staying there upto 3 months a year (if you add all the bits together)).... This was yet another put everything in the car and go - with one exception - this time we had a fixed base and had rented a beautiful holiday home on the Ring of Kerry overlooking Valentia Island.
The only surprise was the weather - sunburn, Ireland and the end of September do not normally go hand in hand...... (full story) (3 photos)
