This was one of those trips that had to get over all sorts of obstacles even just to happen, not least of all my husband not being able to come and family not being very happy about me being out on my own. This was my Christmas break to Sweden. We stayed on an Island called Gräsö island which is to the north of Stockholm, in a summer cabin on the coast.

Manokwari is located at western part of Papua, just south of Equatorial Line. Now, this is part of Irian Jaya Barat Province, Indonesia.
Many beautiful beaches can be easily found in this area. Hills are covered with thick primary tropical rainforest, hidding some exotic orchids and birds.... (11 photos)

One evening I got a sudden phone call. A long-term friend of mine invited me to join her on her trip to Mexico! I thought ...for about 10 minutes and agreed! And never regretted. Our trip was a blast! Chhattisgarh a state in central India, formed when the sixteen Chhattisgarhi speaking southeastern districts of Madhya Pradesh gained statehood on November 1, 2000. Raipur serves as its capital. It is the 10th largest state of India. Chhattisgarh takes its name from 36 (Chattis is thirty-six in Hindi and Garh is Fort) princely states in this region from very old times.... The first day of our vaction we visited Andy Cole and together with him we went to Whipsnade animal park. Then we went to Dartmoor and toured Southwest England from there. It was one of the best holidays we ever had! (4 photos)

We (my BF and I) went on a three weeks vacation with a rented RV through Alberta and British Columbia. We were looking forward to it for a very long time, because it was on our to do list for years and now we could actually go.
The places we visited were: Calgary, Field, Revelstoke, Kamloops, Vancouver, Victoria, Whistler, Clearwater, Jasper, Lake Louise and Banff. Everywhere we went it was absolutely beautiful, but the Canadian Rockies especially just stole my heart.

One of our first vacation destination this summer for me and my wife was in New-Hampshire. Situated only 2-1/2 hours from my home, it is usually a yearly stop. The northern part of this state is the beautifull White Mountains and the Presidentials Range. A great place for hiking. (17 photos)

5500 km and 6 National Parks in 5 1/2 days, leaving Calgary (AB) passing thru Montana, Wyoming (Yellowstone National Park), Idaho, Utah (Hogle Zoo in SLC, Duchesne [yes I went to vist my town :-)], Canyonlands National Park [North East entry], Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park [South East entry]), Colorado (Mesa Verde National Park), New-Mexico, Arizona-Utah (Monument Valley), Arizona (Powell Basin), Utah (Bryce Canyon National Park), Idaho, Montana (Glacier National Park), Calgary (AB).

Tar lake was located 17km from Damavand city. It is 3300m above sea level. Usually people went there for fishing, resting and observing the stars. Very beautiful place for fishing salmon.... (full story) (5 photos)

On 27 July 2006, my daughter, Carolyn, and I flew to Melbourne, Australia, for a short five-night stay. We had a wonderful time together, fitting in as many shops and sight seeing as we could.

We did a really special trip up the Yarra Valley, visiting 4 of the local wineries with the Great Aussie Wine Tour.

And another special visit was to Federation Square, in Melbourne itself. I wish I could have stayed longer and taken more photos of this amazing place.

Ocean City is a relatively small city along a very narrow peninsula. The Atlantic Ocean is on the east side, and a large bay inlet is on the west side. The area is very popular for summer tourists, but no amount of restaurants, golf courses, or screaming kids can take away from the beauty of the ocean.
