[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Seeing Cattle Egrets is not difficult once you find the right habitat—they usually walk around in the open, on dry land, as they hunt grasshoppers and other small animals. Today he was scurrying after mr frog. He caught him easily enough but swallowing him was a whole different story! :)

True to their name, Cattle Egrets often associate with cows and other large farm animals, waiting to strike until the cow disturbs an insect or frog. Sometimes they even stand atop cows and horses, making them both easy to spot and easy to identify.

Hello Brenda,
A neat image of this healthy looking Cattle Egret who seems to have had a very successful day at frog hunting. Nicely timed shot, just before he gulped it down:)
I'm sure your seeing all types of birds down there in sunny Florida, it's been slim pickens here in Ohio. This winter has been really tough, we've had lots of snow and extremely cold weather for what seems like eternity:(
