[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Acomys nesiotes (TUR: Kıbrıs dikenlifaresi, ENG: Cyprus spiny mouse):

The Cyprus Spiny Mouse is endemic to Cyprus. It lives in rocky areas. We captured 4 individual on 22.10.2007 around Lefkoşa (Nicosia) area at an altitude of about 600 meters asl in Turkish Republic of Northern Cypruc. No considerable effort has been made since the 1980s to verify its presence and it may persist in small numbers. For this reason, the IUCN considers it data deficient. Our small trip indicated that this species still exist in Cyprus and this may the first photo of this very rare rodent species.

Mustafa,
not only is it maybe the first photo of this rare species in the natural habitat, but you did an excellent job in portraying it. Thank you for the effort, for presenting it to TN.
Best regards,
Dietrich

Hello Mustafa !
You have an impressive gallery, really, it was very hard to chose which one I like most ! :-) But this one is definitely my favourite, because this Mouse is so cute, and it is an animal we do not often get to see, whether on TN or else. It is really an excellent picture, with excellent details, natural colors, beautiful composition and POV, and a nice pose from the cute Mouse. Very well done !
Valerie.
