A scene from the daily bird life of Bafa Lake. Great cormorants and a Grey Heron sunbathing on the same rocks, as the Grey Herons are more shy compared to cormorants , they have a tendency to escape from humans while the cormorants don't bother at all..

The Great Cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo) is a widespread member of the cormorant family of seabirds.
It is a large black bird, 77-94 cm in length with a 121-149 cm wingspan. It has a longish tail and yellow throat-patch. Adults have white thigh patches in the breeding season.
