Who's the fairest of them all?
Hi again :)
I told you before that i found a pretty decent habitat for damsels and dragonflies not far from home, in my town, on the banks of the passing river.
Well, this was also taken there, on a very nice sunny morning. It was already very hot at 10 AM (about 27-28 centigrade) and all the damsels were very active.
By far, the bigest population there was the one of Calopteryx splendens - the Banded Demoiselle that you see here.
I saw plenty of males flying around, grabbing some breakfast and defending their territories.
The females were more preoccupied with laying eggs and occasionally having a snack in-between.
Please check the Workshop for a view over a small part of the population :)
Again i laid down on the ground to get this low POV and also reflection from the water. I know some of you are beginning to think i like this position, so please don't blame me, but the aim justifies the means ;)
Hope you'll like it :)
