Egretta alba. Usualy feeds in grassland near cattle or horses. Here, in Kerkini lake's western shore. (The lake was formed in 1932, when a dam was built on Strymon river. It is the wildlife-richest habitat in Greece and one of the ten water-reserves protected by Ramsar Treaty.

I felt all the empty water didn't really enhance the subject of the photo, so I cropped to give it a more vertical composition, which would complement the height of the bird. Hope you like it.
