This is the best I can do, unfortunately, in the sequence of the Canada Goose bathing. I am happy with the way the water is sheeting off and the splash caught in motion, but I am not with the surface of the lake, it looks over exposed to me. I can't adjust it without losing details on the head of the goose or altering the color of the bird. If anyone has any suggestions and especially if they can do a workshop to demonstrate, I'd be very appreciative. Thanks in advance. Also, any suggestions as to settings I might try in similar situations under strong midday light.

Hi Mish, I have had a bit of a play with this for you in Lightroom, hope you don't mind.

In Basic I adjusted the following in a hope of reducing the reflection on the lake without losing the detail and colour on the Goose;

Exposure -0.05
Recovery 60
Fill Light 11
Blacks 0
Brightness -26
Contrast 0
Clarity 55
Vibrance +10
Saturation 0

In Detail I adjusted the following;

Luminance 40
Colour 0

I also adjusted the Sharpening amount by 37
Radius 1.0
Detail 25

Hope this helps I have deleted the original for my laptop. Cheers Rick :)
