The one in the picture is Echium judaeum, which is endemic to Israel. Note the flowers are red when young, and turn blue when old (that was seen in Hernan’s picture, too). This specimen was taken last March on Mt. Gilbo'a, home of the Gilbo'a Iris (have a look in my collection, please). |
