Can I Come In? (10)

This bird looked so cold that I really felt for him. Once more, I took this through the double pane sliding glass door. I really liked the tilt of his head. He fluttered down moments later to peck at the birdseed I left for them. He took a few bites and then flew away, so I didn't get a chance to get off a second shot.

Having the door open would've helped, but I made the most of what I had. If I'm not mistaken, don't birds have to eat more to keep up their body heat in the cold? I did purchase more food and left out quite a bit. Today it's rainy and cold and so far, no visitors. Hopefully, they'll come before I have to leave for the day; I'd like a couple of photos for the day.

Even if I can't get out, I'm doing everything I can to attract animals to my balcony. I have food set out for squirrels and am contemplating setting out some sweet corn for raccoons. I saw large tracks in the snow last night, and from my count, there was one very large raccoon and at least three smaller ones.

Anyway, I love the frosty trees, but am doing everything I can to help out these critters.

Isolated Sharpening
Edited by:earthtraveler Gold Star Critiquer/Gold Star Workshop Editor/Gold Note Writer [C: 455 W: 130 N: 972] (3519)

Using PSE4 and the magnetic lassso tool I first loosely circled the bird to isolate and then sharpened using USM with settings: Amount 250,
Radius .3 pixels, Threshold 0
