 Spotless Starling (2) heimann2
(287) | The Spotless Starling is a near rêlative of the European Common Starling.
Spotless Starlings are easily told because they are indeed Spotless, lacking the pale chevrons of the other species. They therefore look uniformly black with a purple, rather than green, gloss which makes the plumage look distinctly oily.
A typical bird of towns and villages in northern Morocco, south spain and portugal.
Here it was caught in the park behind Koutoubia mosque. |
